16 Sep 2020 Chelsea Cup Finals. Congratulations to Milford Tennis Club on securing a double victory in this year’s Chelsea Cup finals. The Milford men secured a 5-1 victory over a gallant Whangaparaoa team who were weakened with players out due to injury. There was still some entertaining and exciting tennis.

The Tennis Northern senior interclub competition runs from September to April, with a Christmas break from mid-December to mid-January. Teams are split into grades, playing round robin matches every other week. Singles. Mens – Monday or Tuesday @ 6pm. Womens – Wednesday @ 6pm.
Whangaparaoa Tennis Club has been awarded Tennis Northern Club of the Year the last two years and want to continue to build this momentum and growth by entering a team into the Chelsea Cup.
More top tennis is coming to Auckland as the city is set to host the Davis Cup World Group 1 Playoff Tie against Venezuela at the ASB Tennis Arena. The re-vamped two day competition is being held on Friday 6 March and Saturday 7 March with two singles matches on Friday and doubles and reverse singles matches on Saturday.
